Hutton House has very sad news to share with the community that our beloved co worker Bob Wallace who recently retired after 45 years at Hutton House passed away on Saturday August 17 2024 after a brief illness. Bob was much loved by the staff and all the participants and began his career at Hutton House in 1978 up until this past fall. Within each person Bob saw their unique abilities and fostered and celebrated those gifts with enthusiasm. Bob was caring, compassionate, super smart, fun loving, easy going, creative, dedicated, and passionate about supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and aspirations. An open house will be held to celebrate Bob’s life at Hutton House at 654 Wonderland Rd N on Sunday August 25, 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. As parking is limited please consider parking across the street at the mall where we will have some shuttles going back and forth. The family has asked that people dress casually( perhaps track pants and a plaid shirt) and wear your favourite slippers as Bob was known to do anywhere and everywhere he could get away with it. Hutton House has lost a dear member of our family and we express our condolences to his family and friends.
