Attention: Participants, Families, Staff and Volunteers

We appreciate your patience within the current COVID-19 environment and appreciate the challenges that everyone is experiencing due to the closure of our services and programs.

Although Hutton House locations are currently closed to visitors, Hutton House staff continue working and all of our services are being offered online for your safety and comfort. Select classes and programs are offering in person services in limited numbers. Some of our current activities include:

·      Development and implementation of online content.

·      Creation of materials for activity kits delivered to participants’ homes.

·      Adult Education online learning clubs and one to one tutoring.

·      Maintaining connections with participants through one to one and group activities through phone calls, emails and virtually using online platforms such as Zoom.

·      Employment Specialists continue to support participants who are working and those seeking employment. Employment services have developed online training and pre-employment preparation opportunities.

·      Weekly delivery of free frozen meals from Meals on Wheels to Hutton House participants and families in need.

As we continue to adapt to the current environment, in the coming weeks we are:

·      Offering online fitness activities.

·      Distributing COVID-19 Kits. Through United Way Funding we are able to further support participants with items in a COVID Kit ie cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, soap, non-medical masks etc Assembly and delivery happens mid-June.

You can protect yourself and others from illness by doing the following:

·      Avoid social activities and large gatherings.

As new information becomes available we will change what we do according to recommendations from the Ministry of Health and the Middlesex London Health Unit.

So while our buildings are closed, the needs and supports continue for our participants to learn, create, work, foster social connections, reduce isolation and foster positive physical and mental health. We will continue to keep you informed about what is happening within our programs
